New Enviro Scheme launched to improve Morgan Signs’ Waste Management System - July 06, 2011
Morgan Signs have successfully launched their new Enviro Scheme, a Waste Management Program aimed at increasing recycling from landfill to 98% of all waste produced. The ultimate goal to achieve a closed loop process, where by all materials are recycled and made suitable for re-use.
The scheme has seen a large workshop area dedicated as a recycling zone, with the introduction of an additional twelve new recycling bins & stillage containers. The zone has been creatively branded with labels and images, and different colour coded bins to ensure all waste streams are correctly compacted & recycled.
General Manager Rod Hill commented “The Enviro Scheme is an efficient way to manage our waste, while reducing our impact on the environment. We are always looking to maintain and improve our social and environmental responsibilities. This further demonstrates our commitment.”
Anthony Omar, Head of Production added “The scheme has allowed management to effectively communicate environmental goals to all employees, the initiative has been embraced by the whole company and our environmental impact is now a core consideration in all of our activities. This really helps to ensure all recycling targets are met.”
