Morgans Consult's Welsh Three Peaks Challenge - September 30, 2016
The challenge was to climb the Welsh Three Peaks in under 24 hours. The mountains are the highest in Wales: Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the North, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales, and Pen y Fan in the South.
We started at 5.30am in North Wales, arriving back in Cardiff at 10pm. We walked for over 10 hours, a distance of over 40km, burning 6,000 calories.
We undertook the challenge in order to help the Royal Voluntary Service, a charity that wants to help create a society where everyone feels valued and involved whatever their age.
RVS are one of the largest volunteer organisations in the country with 35,000 volunteers who help older people stay active, independent and able to continue to contribute to society. They do this by providing practical and emotional help where and when it’s needed.
