Arriva Bridgend Station scoop awards following new signage installation by Morgan Signs - November 28, 2011
Morgan Signs have supplied signage to the Arriva Bridgend Train Station prior to them winning two awards at the International Stations Awards recently held in Cork, Ireland. The Station, which was recently supplied with new internal and external location and way-finding signage, won the awards for Best Medium Station and Overall Customer Service – “going the extra mile”.
The stations’ new signage project was commissioned by Geraint Morgan, Community Affairs Manager at Arriva, who notified Morgan Signs of the award commenting, “I think the signage played a big part in this so a massive thank you for all your help.” The ceremony which was sponsored by Waterford Crystal saw Bridgend steal the award from 26 other competing stations.
Representing Morgan Signs Alex Cue, Account Manager for Arriva and Michael Kitchin, Sales Manager, attended site to congratulate the Arriva team and speak to the press about the works carried out. Applauding the station Alex Cue said: “The Station looks great and we are proud to have contributed to them winning such a prestigious award.” Michael Kitchin also commented “Arriva are a pleasure to work with and we have enjoyed dealing with Geraint on this project and others. We look forward to working together throughout 2012.”
